Over the next 5 years, Aqaba Gate Aviation, in co-operation with its partners, business associates and the Government and workforce of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, will develop an Aviation City geared towards private aviation operations. Further long-term development plans are in place to establish an Aviation City Complex comprising of hangars, warehouses, exhibition halls, an aircraft showroom and FBO, as well as commercial and retail developments.

Fixed Based Operations
The Aqaba Gate Aviation FBO at King Hussein Airport provides the latest VIP receiving and handling facilities. Staff are fully trained and customer service orientated – we understand the luxury market and the needs of Royalty, HNWI, Government and industry leaders. Flightcrews are well looked after with flight planning facilities, met information, rest areas, restaurant, TV and internet access. The aircraft will be cleaned and fuelled, food and beverage catering to suit any diet will be laid on and onward connections, either by helicopter or limousine, arranged.

Air Training College
Aqaba Gate Aviation is aware of the fact that there will be an unprecedented demand for pilots as the airlines of the Middle East, Asia and Africa expand to meet the requirement for scheduled air travel. Aqaba enjoys year round good visibility, excellent flying conditions, low humidity and low priced student accommodation and entertainment facilities. Our Air Training College will provide a full Commercial Pilots License recognised to EU qualification. Student pilots will be trained in modern training aircraft, backed up by simulator training exercises. Graduates will be ready to commence employment as first officers with scheduled and private carriers.

Aqaba Gate Aviation is one of the few Middle East companies registered and authorised to maintain Russian Aircraft in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone. The facility is currently certified for the maintenance of a variety of aircraft. The facility has undergone a rapid expansion and our services include airframe heavy maintenance, engine overhaul, component MRO and line maintenance. As private aircraft operations (fixed wing and rotary) gather pace at Aqaba we are re-training and re-tooling in order to meet customer requirements.

Air Charter Operations
Aqaba is an increasingly popular holiday and tourist destination with various major events due to be staged in the city over coming years. If we combine this with its strategic geographical position and factor in the growing requirement for luxury business and tourist travel in the region, research suggests there will be a significant requirement for HNWI private air transport. Aircraft will use Aqaba as a hub, but be deployed as required around the region as mission profiles develop. Amman, Cairo, Alexandria, Damascus and northern Saudi Arabia are all within helicopter operational range. Dubai, Abu Dhabi, North Africa and Southern Europe are all within a few hours flight for the jet fleet.

Aqaba Gate Aviation has set up as a showroom for aircraft, ready for onward sale. Cost of apron parking and hangarage will be charged at a fraction of European, US and Middle Eastern airport rates and the aircraft will be fully maintained by a team of trained engineers. The climate is mild through the winter and there is low humidity through the summer so aircraft are not subject to adverse weather conditions on the ground. Additionally, a sales team, fully immersed in the process of understanding the pre-owned aircraft market, will actively seek to place aircraft with suitable owners.
